My Old Blog is Alive

I have an old blog before this one but I neglected it long time ago. But now its alive!!!

I was able to reclaim it under my Google account. I previously used Yahoo email on this.

I really like how Google handle this kind of situation. Think of it, I lost the access of this blog long time ago. I still remember the title and managed to remember also the url, but i can't login. Today while I was searching my name in Google, the profile of my old blog was listed. It happens every time, but this time I decided to try to reclaim it. In my profile I saw my old Yahoo email. I am still using this old email. I just can't throw it away even if I really want to. I tried multiple times to login but every time I do it, somehow it redirected to my other blog under my Google account. I wonder why Google designed it like this. It leaves me blind to what really happened to my old account. Was it deleted or deactivated? But I can still see my old blogs. After many tries i finally understand why it happened that way. I logged in under Google account login! Yet there are no option for the old account login!

So I decided to try another approach. I leave the username and password blank then click the sign-in button. This time it showed me the other login page. And it was showing now the option for old login. I still can't login though, because I forgot my username and password! It took four times of try before I finally got my username right, but I still can't guess my password.

In the end I just click the "Forgot your password?" link. After I received the email with the link for reclaiming the site I was given an option to transfer it in my Google account. So that's what I did.

Thanks for reading this post.

Flash Back

These past two years I usually spent most of my time doing some web stuff. I design and develop website. This is really not my original game.

I graduated in college specializing Visual Basic 6. It took me three years to realized that this language is becoming obsolete. I experimented VB.net and C# but somehow I lost my drive. This is partly also due to the nature of my work in my previous job. It was really not so much in programming. When time came that I need to do something for my future career I doesn't have much choice. I was forced to learn how to weave the web.

I noticed that most of the jobs in IT involves web developing. If I need to expand my skills I have to know how it works. I really have slight knowledge about HTML at that time, but I did not develop it due to the thinking that scripting is not on the same level as programming. Today I realized that I was wrong. Web is the future of computing as what Google showed. So, to enhance my skill I self studied HTML, then CSS. I had a hard time at first but in the end I finally get the right technique. This is the most important part of my learning. After this everything now about web is within my reach. Though sometimes I still have to crawl to get what I want.

Today I can safely say that I have good knowledge in terms of web development. Photoshop, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, ASP.NET, C# and others, it came to me like avalanche. Although I admit in designing my creativity is not yet adequate and in the area of web apps like flash and java I still have a lot to learn. And I'm improving myself everyday.

Origin of Ideas

It's been a long time since the last time I did some blogging. Now I'm back again. I am interested with it again due to some little ideas and opinion I wish to share. I believe that I should spit out these things even if its not a good one. In that way I can help or annoy the readers. Either way it's not important to me.

So many things happened since I wrote my last blogs. I feel so fresh. I feel upgraded than before. I'm bursting with ideas. Well at least in my own point of view. So I suggest just ride with it.

Until next time.
